BullionTally is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your financial data belongs to you and only you.
Data Storage & Collection
- ✓All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
- ✓We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial data.
- ✓No user accounts are required. No sign-up. No login.
- ✓No analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind is embedded in the app.
- ✓No third-party SDKs collect your data.
- ✓We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties.
Network Calls
The app makes only the following outbound network requests — none of which transmit your personal or financial data:
1. Spot Price Data
FRED API (fred.stlouisfed.org) — Official LBMA gold & silver prices published by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Free tier: prices update up to 2x/day on app open.
GoldAPI.io (goldapi.io) — Real-time prices for Gold, Silver, Platinum & Palladium. Used by Pro users who supply their own API key. No personal data is sent — only the API key and requested metal symbol.
2. Exchange Rate Data
Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.dev) — Foreign exchange rates sourced from the European Central Bank. Updated daily. No personal data is sent — only the requested currency pair.
3. Google Play Billing (Pro Users)
Subscription and purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. BullionTally does not process, store, or have access to any payment information.
Advertising
- ✓Free tier displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers per Google's advertising policies.
- ✓Pro users see no ads, and no ad-related data collection occurs.
Data Deletion
- ✓Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app permanently deletes all your data.
- ✓You can also delete individual holdings or export your data before uninstalling.
Children's Privacy
- ✓BullionTally is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
- ✓Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this document. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
